REPORT:

After a delayed start the game was reduced to a 44 overs per side.

Put into bat in blustery conditions, the “Griffs” batting again mis-fired and were bowled out for just 113 in the 31st over, having been 71 for 3. Former Warwickshire under 19’s Finn McCreath taking 5 for 16 from his allocated nine overs. Bhavik Patel was the only “Griffs” batsman to show any real resistance with 41 from 65 balls.

Despite losing Ben Rex first ball, Wardens were well placed for victory until rain arrived. When play resumed after a delay, a victory target of 75 from 26 overs was required. However further persistent rain came to the rescue and the game was eventually abandoned with Wardens 59 for 2 in the 14th over.
