159 ALL OUT off 47.3 OVERS
ALI AWAN 35
DORRIDGE 162 FOR 4 off 25 OVERS
DAVE BALL 44
BARRY FORRESTER-SMITH 44 NOT OUT
DORRIDGE 20PTS BEAT MOSELEY 3PTS BY 6 WICKETS
The hosts won the toss and elected to field.
After a solid start from Rob Yates and Bhavik Patel Moseley slumped from 31 for 0 to 82 for 6, against what was rumoured to be an under strength Dorridge attack.
A partnership of 37 between Ben Griffin and Ali Awan, who top scored with 35, took the score to 117 before Griffin fell to a dubious caught behind. Ali Awan and Usman Awan took the score to 147, before Driscoll claimed the last two wickets to end the innings on a well below par total of 159.
In reply Dorridge emphasised the inadequacies of the “Griffs” batting by racing to a six wicket victory in 25 overs, with David Ball 47 from 44 balls and Barry Forrester-Smith 44 not out from just 29 balls, powering them home with a fourth wicket partnership off 76.
The Griffs attempt to address this poor overall performance at home to Kenilworth Wardens next Saturday 27th April.
